This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar browser storage EuroSaver uses on https://eurosaver.net. In short: only technically necessary ones, and no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to retain information or settings between page visits, such as your language choice. Websites can also keep such information in your browser's local storage.

Which cookies and storage do we use?

eurosaver.locale: This cookie saves your selected language so that the website is displayed in the correct language on your next visit. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking. It remains stored until it expires or you delete it.

eurosaver-theme: This entry in your browser's local storage saves whether you chose the light, dark or system theme. It never leaves your browser.

eurosaver.session_token: This cookie is set only when you sign in to the dashboard for the EuroSaver API. It keeps you signed in for up to 30 days and is deleted when you sign out.

sidebar_state: This cookie is set only in the dashboard and remembers whether the sidebar is open. It expires after 7 days.

These cookies and entries are strictly necessary to provide the service you requested: the website in your language and theme, and the dashboard you signed in to. Therefore, consent is not required according to § 165 Para. 3 TKG 2021, which is also why we don't show you a cookie banner.

The verification page that the extension may open uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check whether a person is using the browser. Turnstile is part of the website's security; it is described in the Privacy Policy.

Our web analytics (self-hosted Umami) works entirely without cookies and without accessing information on your device.

The browser extension stores your settings and its install key locally in the extension storage of your browser. The settings and the private part of the install key never leave your device.

Managing or deleting cookies

You can view, block, or delete cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. If you delete or block the eurosaver.locale cookie or the theme entry, your language and theme choices will not be saved; the website will otherwise remain fully functional. Without the session cookie you cannot sign in to the dashboard. You can find instructions here:
